About 5 years ago I found a lump in my arm between my elbow and shoulder it's blue like a bruise. I showed it to my gp who examined it and said it was a lump of gristle. My new gp saw it and said she wanted me to have an ultra sound. That was just 3 weeks ago and my appt for the scan came today for next week! Should I be worried about the appt coming through so quick? TIA.

I can't speak for you.....but i wouldn't be worried.

A 5yr long history of a "lump" not getting any bigger does not sound like "trouble" to me.
I would just be grateful that you got your appointment so quickly, 8-10 wait down this neck of the woods.

Oh thank you Sqad! I relocated to another town hence the new gp. I really got worried when that appointment came through so quick. I appreciate the new gp's diligence but my former gp was very good. Kat.
Could be a fatty lipoma which apparently is quite common, hope you get good result from scan anyway.

Penelope2, It's the same here apparently that's why I was worried by the speed of my appt. Dunnital, thanks for your input. I googled arms lumps earlier and some were like mine.
Good luck.
