Divorce from Thai wife

Help please!! My Thai wife and I have been separated for 3 years now, we were married in Thailand but both now live in UK, I want to divorce her but I don't know where she is in UK and have had no contact with her, she also holds all of the marriage documents. How should I go about it. Any advice or help is much appreciated, thanks.

Your first port of call should be your local Citizens Advice Bureau, who will probably suggest an appointment with a solicitor to get things started.

I would suggest you take some professional advice, particularly if there are children or property involved. You may be able to claim abandonment and it is not unusual for the spouse address not to be available, it may be you have to place advertisements to try to locate your wife and there may be a delay. Find a local solicitor who specialises in divorce and provide them with the complete details.
