A work mate of mine has told me that my transport manager "thinks" I've not earned an amount of money that I have worked overtime for, and intends to edit my time sheet before it goes to the wages office this week.He has not spoken to me about it and I have a tacho that proves the work was done. Can he do this ?.
I've always believed that the only people allowed to take any money from my wages without my consent are the government ie, the tax man.

Why not confront him about it?

I can't confront him yet. I'm just putting out a few feelers so I know what to do or say next week when I get my wage .

He should not unilaterally adjust your timesheet without informing you what he has done and why.

Do you a union rep at your workplace, but you are right to hold fire, the guy sounds a right t__t.

Make sure you keep a copy of your unedited time sheet and that the taco graph is safe to check later.

Rather than 'confront' the manager why not go into the office with your time sheet and 'mention' that you have done xxx hours etc mention also that because you will be geiing about xxx this week you will be able to get that ""something"" you have been after for a while. That way he knows you know what pay you will be getting.

That also gives him the opportunity to say something about why (if he is) intends to dock your pay.

If he says nothing and still docks your pay, not only is he a nasty supervisor and coward, he is an idiot for doing it when he could have cleared it up earleir.
