Strike Action

Unison members in local government will be on strike for two days in July, a Wednesday and Thursday. Have noticed that during similar strikes in previous years the dates have fallen mid week also and we were just wondering in work is there a procedural reason why they don't seem to include a Monday or Friday. Thanks for your help.

I suppose it's because it causes more disruption to have it mid week rather than it appearing as a long weekend.

After tanker drivers got their payrise, expect to see more of this.
