20 days ago i had abut 3 hits of a joint and now i have to be drug tested for potential jobs. Iam worried about how long the drug will stay in my body, and can it be detected now, I am healthy and excercise regularly, iam not a regular smoker, will this be a big problem?

It can stay in the body for many weeks after use, and up to 6 months in the hair or urine. If you only smoke now and again, 2-3 days should be sufficient to escape detection via a blood test, so it seems you'll be alright.

I drug test people all the time at work - if you smoke occaisionally (and I do mean the odd puff), it takes up to 7 days to clear the system when being tested in urine. However, if you are a pothead and smoking most days, it will take up to 28 (as it accumulates in your system). So be sure of what you are doing before you pee as tests are very sensitive these days - excuses won't wash as they will have heard it all before. If they go to the trouble (and extreme expense) of testing hair, I think cannabis and other substances may even stay detectable in that until it is cut off or disposed of.

Based on what you say, you should be fine as the effects of 3 puffs will have long since left your system
