online courses

I am interested in starting an online course which gives me a proper qualification maybe in computing. does anybody know any good sites which offer these sort of short courses for free. i am a student and wish to study in my own time. i have been on a few sites but in order for me to get it free i have to be employed as they offer the course as an employment based one. any advice would be good. thanks. candybar (Mon 15:32 10/Sep/07)
