I visited my compnay's european headquaters for a 2nd-round job interview on 5th sept. There were only two applicants in the running. It is now 23rd and I have still heard nothing.

What is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a response? (I expect a response either way.) I feel like I want to chase it up as I am fed up with being in this state of limbo but don't want to appear like I am hassling.

The job is in Belgium and a lot rides on the verdict!

I think it's reasonable to enquire if you weren't told at interview when you could expect to hear back, and I do agree that you should expecta reponse one way or the other.

Rather than ringing the people who interviewed you directly, perhaps put a call into your HR department (who should have had some involvement on this) and ask when feedback will be given since it's been over three weeks now.
