Hi
I've heard that regardless of what rate your company reimburse you at for mileage, you can claim the difference up to 40 pence back from the inland revenue.

Has anyone else heard of this, where can I find out more information?

Thanks

Hippo - I've had a look on their but it's too hard to navigate round. Wondered if someone else had heard this too.
Yes Jennifer I have to do this every year!
I use my own money (ie not my company credit card) to fill my car fuel on business mileage.

My company refund me 0.12 mile, (sometimes more, depending on the size engine of the car I am driving) the government pay me the difference.

You can claim from April to April and is worth submitting as i got over 1000 in tax relief every year to date!

The name of the form is really obscure but I have one on my desk at work, so I'll come on line tomorrow and update this answer. Just make sure you are aware of all your business mileage.
