A spokesman said they wanted negotiations to start as soon as possible but understood the other 27 countries had to have time to decide their position (or words to that effec).

Too blooming late. They have been talking about it and negotiating amongst themselves for months. They know exactly what they want, what they will settle for and how they intend to play it.

30th March TM should hand them the file with what we want and give them a week to get back to her. Lol

can't see that happening at time soon, these negotiations are going to take ages yet.
lets hope we get what we want our of Brexit.
out of Brexit. sorry
"lets hope we get what we want our of Brexit."

I doubt I'll get what I want. I want the UK to make a complete and unconditional withdrawal from the EU and be unconstrained by any of its institutions, their rules, directives or laws. Any trading arrangements made should accommodate that wish and the only regulations that should be complied with are those for strictly necessary for trade (e.g. if you sell widgets to the EU, the widgets must be of this quality and that standard. And those regulations should only apply to businesses selling widgets to the EU, not to those that don’t).
Estimated 2 years negations ,I hope Britain's team are proficient !!!!!!!l
It matters little what the other EU countries have discussed so far, and want to get. Either they eventually agree a fair deal, and the noises from them so far suggest they wouldn't know "fair" if it kicked them up the rear, or they lose out by failing to agree to good mutual trade agreements with the UK, for the future. One can only hope they aren't so daft as to want to cut off their nose in order to spite their face. A lose/lose situation is not in anyone's interest, but at the same time won't devastate anyone either.
ditto the judge, I don't give rats plaster what the EU have decided, we should stop the DD and leave PDQ, end of.
