Is this correct format to write a resignation?
Dear Sir,

This letter is to inform you of my one-month notice of resignation from my position as Receptionist with "ABC". My last day of work here will be Wednesday, 28 Feb, 2017.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to work for your company.

Sincerely,

It's as good as any.
The only thing I would change is the Dear Sir at the start or Sincerely at the end. If a letter starts with Dear Sir it should end with Yours faithfully. If it starts with a name like Dear John then it can end with the Yours sincerely.
Dear sir
I am advising you that I am now tendering one month notice of my resignation from my post as receptionist with.....abc.
