Returned from maternity leave on reduced hours under a 3 month contract, 3 days a week, Mon,Tues and Weds as a trial. That ended 10 days ago and Ive had no letter of whats happening next although I was told today that the area manager is coming to speak to me next week. There is talk of everyones hours being changed and although I was happy to work a Saturday sometimes, they have always asked me at very short notice which is impossible for me to arrange childcare. I think Im going to be forced to resign. I've no idea what hours they have in mind for me when I see them next week. Any advice?

you need to think back to what the three month trial was....
trial of a change of hours
or three months contract ?

clearly I would go for the first but you know what words were said

what has been written ?

So you have to wait until the meeting and see what he says
If you dont want to go back to your original hours then you have to decide what you do want, dont resign until you have taken advice
first stop citizens advice.
