hospital, wards.
Im sure you will find the training helpfull- if you spend the time looking and feeling for a good vein you will be fine :0)

And remember your hand hygeine and dispose of your sharps properley you will do great im sure :0) xx
I've recently learned to take bloods and find myself gawping at peoples arms for juicy veins. There'll be a time when you forget to take the tourniquet b4 removing needle.....LOL you'll only make that mistake once !!. what qualifications are needed for this job?
None i believe! Its on site training x
Agree with tinks, you need to learn the practical skills and to be mentored by an experience registered nurse, until you are pronounced fit to be let loose on your own :-)
What a good opportunity. I have blood taken regular for a variety of conditions. It does not seem that difficult but obviously you would need lots of background knowledge. Ive often wondered what you would do with children or even adults with a needle phobia.
