How much should i get paid to babysitt if i am 14 ?

I am a 14 year old girl living in UK and i was wondering if someone with past experience with babysitting could help me . I am about to babysitt for siblings who are a 6 year old girl and a 7 year old boy . I have no idea how much to charge at all . I am good friends with their mother and i know that their mother has paid for a chld minder in the past , what i dont know is how much she paid them . I am really worried about over charging her , but i am also worried about being taken advantaged of and being under paid too . I really dont know what to charge . I am babysitting for 6 hours a day for 5 days ...someone please help me ... i dont know what to do ... thanks :)

I'd ask for £100 for the whole 5 days and she how she replies. Its less than minimum wage so cheaper than her actually employing someone (which is, I assume, why she's asked you to do it!) but still a decent amount of spending money for you.

Think it through first - six hours a day for 5 days is a long time to spend entertaining kids. You are really going to earn your money.

Round the maidenhead area registered child minders get paid £5 an hour but remember they are registered.hope that helps

I did this at your age, once! It was the worst eperience of my life. As wolfie said, you will definitely work for it.

For babysitting in the evening I would say around £15-20 but it sounds like you are talking about during the day in which case it is much more demanding so I would say £5 an hour at least.
