Just a little wee thought....would you rather be counselled by someone with accreditation and experience, or someone who can spell and count and decides to call themselves a counsellor?
Hmmm? Guys? A little compassion for the OP maybe? |

Sorry, jonah. I'm a bit grumpy this morning.
You can get support at your local college if you are a returning learner. If you find a course which is suitable you can get additional support if you need, it to help brush up your basic skills. |
|
Start with an introduction to counselling course (12 weeks one day a week usually) then move on through the different courses the college will advise until you have done at least a level four course should take about 2 and a half possibly 3 years. There will be a lot of written assessment work though reports etc so if you do have a literacy problem or have not done any higher levl study an academic writing short course might be helpful
