On Sky News right now.
Former Tory Party donator Arron Banks was ridiculed as 'a nobody' by Wiliam Hague when it was announced recently he was going to be making a donation of £100,000 to UKIP.
As a result of the barb, he has increased that donation to £1 million.

You couldn't make it up, Tories fuelling the UKIP media machine with their ill-judged comments.

The Tories are the best advert for joining ukip. Cammy and Co are just driving people away
hehe
Cameron is promising soooo much for the next election, why the hell doesn't he do it all now while he's in power ??? Must think we're stupid or summat !!!
Cameron can't do it now cos of the coalition...

I'm going to vote UKIP, after being a Labour voter all of my life, as was my father before me.
Wouldn't vote UKIP. They are only Tories with a different name. If they can even think about bringing back fox hunting, then that says it all as far as I'm concerned.

I'm obliged, Baldric.
Its all turning out as predicted. The haemorrhaging of funds and people from the Tories to UKIP, and it will continue until next May. Nobody can be at all surprised.
I bet Hague is wishing he had kept his mouth shut now !
While the Tories ague, UKIP are laughing all the way to the Banks!
Mikey, how the hell can Hague keep that gravel voice, shut?
That is why Cam moved him in the last reshuffle.
I see Cam has managed to silence I DH S, he now needs to do the same,
with Billy.
'Hard-working people and their families' was a favourite of Gordon Brown I remember. Whatever happened to just 'working people'? The term 'hard work' used to refer to strong physical graft, as opposed to pushing a pen.
I've been thinking that lately re 'hard working people'. The irony is that the sort of people who 'buy into' that garbage wouldn't know a hard day's work if it bit them on the ***.
Totally agree with that ^^^^^^^
I have also never understood the expression 'working class'. To my mind, anyone who performs a service for emolument, be he the Prime Minister or the toilet cleaner, is 'working class'.
I now wince when I hear 'hard-working people' on the radio. Many H.W.P. are in fact working very hard - they just aren't paid enough to live properly! I voted conservative om and off for years (often with deep reservations, I just couldn't vote for the others). Now they are a different people/party. I listened to Mr Hague his morning and he seemed to be a normal sort of bloke - - now it's all gone barmy.
Just a comment; I can't vote at the moment (nice one - I pay tax in England, but no representation, like lots of others.... Boston Tea-party anyone remember?).
William Hague could have been the Tories' Harold Wilson, but he peaked far too early.
Vote Ukip and Labour will get in next time, do we reallly want to see the Minibrain and Balls strutting their stuff????? I don't. As Cameron said go to bed with Farage and you wake up with Miliband.
For all that Ukip holds the key to our desire to be out of the EU, I'd rather stick with Cameron for now.
I agree AYG. My heart says vote UKIP but my head says vote Tory, which I shall do, albeit slightly holding my nose at the same time.
