car hire excess insurance

I would like to be able to purchase car hire excess insurance for just one day, Sunday 4th May 2008. It is already Sunday, so I could probably only do it online. I know of one company which sounds good, but they are not open on a Sunday. Does anybody know of a reputable company which could provide me with this cover? I have already hired the car and it is sitting outside my house. I hired it from a garage about fifteen miles away and this affects the cover offered and the premium I would have to pay. I would be grateful for any information. Thank you.

surely the company you hired the car from can provide the excess cover,i wouldent think any other company will cover you as you already have the car hire cover already.

Thank you for your answer. I shall in future buy an annual policy for the car hire excess insurance. My weekend went without an accident which was wonderful.
