Insurance on loan car

My car has gone in for some warranty work and I have a loan car (this is from a main dealer, not some back-street gagage). I have been charged a nominal sum to cover me on their insurance but they have not actually taken the money. I have signed a form to say that i accept all the usual conditions. I questioned thie fact that I hadn't payed and apparently it's 'normal procedure'.

My question is, if I havn't actually paid, how can i be insured?

Thanks Norm. They did ask me to pay but saisd that they would take the payment when i came to collect my car.

I just wondered what the technicalities would be if i'd had a bump but hadn't paid.

ask the garage where you purchased the car to foot the bill of the loan car. I done this with stratstone and they agreed to pay it after a bit of gentle persuading
