Car Insurance - which Company?

My partner is wanting to tax his car but can't find his car insurance paperwork, nor can he remember who he is insured with! is there any way he can find out?

The DVLA have an on line system for renewing tax so if his car is insured and has a current MOT (if applicable) it is easy to renew as DVLA has records confirming whether the car is insured or not.
