I WAS with McAfee, ws not very impressed Potty, I'm now On a Freebe because Norton became too Expensive.
You should only have one active AV program running at any one time. Running more than one causes conflicts and problems.

Your choice to which one you want to keep, but un-install the other one.
you shouldn't really have two AV products running at the same time, they may trip over each other and start a fight. I'm happy with Avast - the free version; so if I'd paid for McAfee I'd be happy to let it go. You should also get malware protection from somewhere like Malwarebytes

I purchased my new Windows 10 Lap Top three months ago & paid about £40 to install McAfee. I didn't realise I already had a free AVAST AV for a limited time. Now AVAST want £35 to renew my subscription. Still not sure what to do. Also I've just spotted an AVAST warning - 'Secure line VPN not connected'. ???
When you ready, type in FREE ANTI VIRUS Via Google then download, but make sure It's completely FREE.
THe FREE version of Avast scored 9 & 1/2 out of 10 in an independent review I saw recently . Why pay for it?
If you have paid and installed McAfee then I'd continue with that until it expires, however uninstall Avast. Once the McAfee expires you can re download Avast (free version) and use that.

I have just paid £35 to AVAST because I forgot to cancel it. How can I get my money back? I have sent them a message stating this and am waiting with fingers crossed. Waddya reckon?!
Getting two lots doesn't give you any more insurance against viruses.
If it was an automated payment that you didn't have to confirm I'd hope there would be a cooling off period. But I don't know. Fingers crossed ?

The payment hasn't come out of my bank yet but is stating it has gone thru PAYPAL. Suppose its too late to cancel now but - hey ho - I just hope there is a cooling off period. (Better be!)
