Potterton Suprima Central Heating Problem

The central heating is coming on uncommanded. I have a Potterton Suprima 60L boiler and have tried resetting the system, lowering the thermostat temp etc but the heating still comes on. Anything else that can be tried before have to call a plumber! Thanks

My guess would be a faulty thermostat, but maybe the experts know of a common and easily sorted issue with the boiler model. We wait with bated breath.
