Several leading charities (supporting people with medical problems) provide a link to this specialist broker on their websites: http://www.able2travel.com/ (Several ABers have found that link useful).

1) the reason they will nit insure you is that the risk is too much for them to consider you. They feel the likelihood of them having to pay out is too high. That's how insurance works.
I used able 2 travel in chrises link last trip
I just close my eyes and travel without

The alternative which has never attracted is to pay an enhanced fee for limited cover and then have the insurance clerk insist afterwards the company wont pay out for that ....

so you wont be able to get cover for consequence of stroke epilepsy or COPD ( because it is not a risk - it is a reality )
Read the Sunday Mirror today regards someone that went to American without Insurance!!!
I think companies are having an issue with you medical condition. I traveled Germany six months ago. I had few medical issue but I got my travel insurance from https://www.covomo.com/. I suggest you to take a look on this site.
