I am buying a new home and I am pricing up home insurance. I lived in my last property for 3 years and had both buildings and contents insurance. I have been living with my parents for just over 2 years now and wanted to know if the no claims discount I had built up whilst i had my own place would still be useable?

Any answers much appreciated.

I think different providers will treat the matter in different ways, and I'm not sure how common the use of NCD is anyway with home insurers. I suggest you try a price comparison site as a starting point, then try some direct insurers a for quotes
While you were living with your parents, did you hold insurance?
Speak to a local Insurance Broker. They should be able to negotiate a suitable discount with an insurance company on your behalf.
