I have got an in-ground swimming pool. It has got a thick pvc liner fitted and as I live(almost) in the middle of some woods it managed to get quite dirty over the winter. I have tried shock treatment-floating chlorine thingies and my ph level is a light yellow when a red tablet is added. Can I safely empty the pool without the liner collapsing? This is my 1st year with the darn thing and I am struggling. Female thing I guess.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my car stereo?

You should be perfectly safe emptying the pool.
With requard to pH I have no idea what you mean. pH is a scale from 1 to 14 .
1 is very acid and 14 is very alkaline. You need to measure it with a pH meter or ph indicator which tell you the pH number. A swimming pool should have a pH of between 5 to 8 .

Thanks EDDIE51, I have a pool tester, I have to put a phenol red tablet - to check the ph level, the numbers go from6.8 to 8.2 and the number that I should have is about 7.5 (mine is 6.8) and then I have an alkaline tester which ranges from 0.5 to 5. I have got alkaline tablets and dpd1 tablets and I'm not sure what number these should be as I have got so stressed out with the ph. I have thrown in ph increaser powder, but just seem to be throwing in chemicals willy nilly. It'ss costing a fortune and like I said- not sure what I am doing!
