They are not designed to work in low ambient temperatures which is why you are having problems. All fridge freezers have an operating range in which they are designed to operate, if they are operated outside of this range it causes damage to the heat exchanger and compressor as they have to work at a rate beyond which they were designed for. Unfortunately it is a non repairable fault.
My advice would be to look for a specialist appliance if you wish to use it in an unheated outbuilding, unfortunately they are much more expensive than standard models.
