orangebroad band

When i first had a computor i was on dial up with Orange, then i brought my own router and changed to broadband still with Orange.I had a phone call from Orange last month saying as a valued customer they would reduce my monthly bill of £20 to £12 and they would sort this out within 7 days.when i had not heard anything after the 7 days i emailed them and the reply was that no record could be found of the conversation and that they would give me 1 month free for the inconvenience Then 3 days ago i get an email to say that it is all set up and i will be getting a router in the post, which arrived yesterday. My question is do i now have 2 accounts? i am not to keen on ringing as 9 times out of ten you get put through to India

Nothing would surprise me with Orange.

I cancelled my broadband with them at the beginning of July. Come the end of July they charged me for a month's service. I called them and was told that I would be refunded the charge.

Skip to the end of August, no refund and I've been charged another for another month. I called them again, and was told that, yes I would be refunded for July, but had to pay August as part of the terms and conditions of leaving them means that I have to pay for 31 days after I leave them. I've no cancelled my DD with the bank.

Makes no sense to me.

Still waiting for the refund, by the way...
Is the router a Gigaset SE572?
And what else came with router? An orange setup disc?
as far as i know in my experience you only get to India for technical queries, your account query is not technical and should cost you 5p per min to sort out what your paying now, you will have received an e-mail from them saying your on £12 now like me
I was with Orange for a long time and the service was terrible. The only time I got to speak to someone who could speak decent English was when I called to say I wanted to leave them. Even then someone put me through to them from India or somewhere in that region. Then after being with them for over 6 years they said they could do me a deal for cheaper broadband. Why wait until I wanted to leave. At the time I was on the up to 8 meg service but never got more than 1.5 meg even though my line will give me around 5 meg which I have been getting since I left them. I had same thing happen as 2shortplanks they took exrta money which I had to wait to get back. Never will I go with them again. Since then I have had decent service from both the Post Office and Sky and both have used british helplines where I can understand the person on the other end of the line which was not always the case with Orange.
