I have been reading lots of reviews on these. I am just about to purchase one with dvd 2 tall speakers and 3 other. What I would like to know is about the HDMI socket . Does this mean that if it does not have one that you wont get the hd through it. I know you need a lead if fitted with the HDMI SOCKET. Hope this makes sense for you to understand what I want to know. I already have skyhd.

Yes ensure that the HomeCinema Surround has HDMI output to get the very best reuslts from your TV and Sky
not only does it need 2 hdmi sockets it needs to be an actual decoder of HD sound.

you need one HDMI for the picture and then for 'true' HD sound you need an amp with the ability to decode DTS-HD or dolby True HD. other wise an potical/coaxial cable will get you normal surround sound. (ive not actually heard HD sound yet to know if its a big leap)
