Today in my haste, I pulled up at Asda, inserted my card, took my petrol and drove away, it was only when I was 50 miles up the motorway that I realised I had not asked for a receipt or finished the transaction like I usually do, does that mean that somebody could have come right behind me and taken petrol- because the max I could take of petrol was quite alot in comparison with what I did take.

Can anyone put my mind at rest - will me putting the pump back in terminate the transaction instantly without me finishing pressing the buttons and asking for a receipt. Stressful day,x

They automatically reset after about 30 seconds following you putting the nozzle back in its holding place thing, so you have no reason to be concerned.
