Hi My daughter bought a ds lite from hmv in april, and for the last 2 weeks it's kept crashing. We have the receipt and I'm going to take it back to HMV tomorrow- am I right in thinking that that they'll have to replace/repair it as it's less than 12 months old. TIA mumof3

Should be ok. These things normally come with 12 months guarantee.

The 12 months guarantee is with Nintendo, not HMV.
But on the back of the receipt will likely be a notice saying how many days you have to return products to HMV. Usually about a month.
So you should be well within this time period, so it's easier to just taking it direct to HMV and getting a replacement, than dealing with Nintendo.
