cigarette filters

Why do the cheaper brands of cigarettes have a thicker filter?

To disguise the taste of camel dung.

Because cheaper cigs will be made from more cr@p than normal cigs and so need thicker filters to stop you dieing earlier.

They'll have thicker and bigger filters to disguise the fact they have less tobacco in them.
BTW I don't know if you're aware of this but the filters on cigies don't do a thing, they don't stop any of the particles entering your system, it's just marketing.
You'd be just as well breaking off the tip and smoking em "raw" you may get added kudos for it too.
My honest advice to you (if you're a smoker) is to give it up I used to smoke and if I still smoked I'd have died at the end of February aged 37 of bronchitis.
Take it or leave it.
