Poland is part of the EU so when a Pole has come here and worked, paid NI and tax, he/she is entitled to the social benefits.
Russia isn't so one needs a work permit.
The gotcha is those people that arrive at the border claiming asyllum - they are the ones that get some support for free during the endless period of time before the case is considered. Oh, and then there is the time during the appeal. Then there is the time is actually get them removed from the country.

Yes get them removed I agree but not only the poles.I have them all around me all nationalities,They got better cars houses tv clothes the height of fashion,carpets ect than I have and I have worked all my life and they just swarm in get everything also council houses and our own people can't get them. Don't get me started any more on this it makes my blood boil.They don't pay council tax rent say no more . Rant over.
