removing cured silicone sealer

i have stupidly let silicone sealer cure while repairing windscreen leak on my car. is there any silicone remover available that would not damage paintwork?

I have done exactly the same thing but on a boat I have bought a silicone sealer remover made by Geocel most chandleries should keep it
