Not sure if this question is in the right section but here goes:

When a body is cremated, is it done together with other bodies at once, or separately? If together, how would you know for sure that the ashes you have are of the person that you grieve for, and not a mish mash of ashes from everyone?

sorry about your bbq the good thing is the world is going to be a better place.i suggest you go for a walk instead.
When my mother died in 2000 with a famous funeral store, she paid in advance for her coffin and service. While at the Chapel of Rest I saw the name plate on the lid of the coffin standing in the corner, it was still hanging off. On the reverse was another persons name, so don't always assume the coffin paid for is exclusive. I did report the funeral people to the ombudsman as they were pathetic from beginning to end. This firm were banking on people being too much in grief to understand. When I finally received her ashes there was a spring in it, similar to what is in a chair and no part of the body could have had that within them. Good evidence to my complaint, to which I didn't receive compensation, nor did I want it. I wanted the firm to act appropriately in the future.
