Please tell me which is easier to use for a Numpty like me who isn't very good with Technology.

It would have to be on my PC as I don't have a Smart Phone.

Thanks in advance

I thought facetime could only be used on apple devices eg a Mac PC. I might be wrong.
I think you're right Prudie.
This definitly isn't my area of expertise but Prudie and Mamya seem to be correct:

While there are alternatives to Skype when using a PC (such as ooVoo), Skype is definitely the market leader and therefore probably the one to try first.
The simple answer is, use Skype on a Windows PC, though I do have one friend in her 50's who seems to find it a bit confusing to use.

The techy answer is that it may be possible to use Facetime on a Windows PC by using an emulator and installing the Facetime app in the emulator. It's not something I have tried, but https://www.techntrack.org/download-facetime-for-windows-pc-and-laptops-windows-7-8-and-10/ has reasonably detailed instructions on how to do it.
