In February, well they still haven't sorted it out, after many Tel calls, e-mails etc.
It keeps getting passed to different managers, departments, and so on.

I have even threatened, that I would contact the media if they don't sort it out soon.

Crazy trt, that would be niggling me going on for so long.
I would contact the media now, trt.

There's nothing that concentrates the minds of senior managers more than seeing a nice spread (even if it's just in the local rag) illustrating the ineptitude of their company. "Rip Off Britain" is currently on at the moment (BBC1, 9:15am, I think). Give Gloria Honeyford a call.

I haven't read all of your earlier question. I take it you've cancelled your Direct Debit entirely until the matter is resolved?

Did that NJ, then had to get them to stop their debit company sending me letters for not paying.

Below is the part of the e-mail I received today.

Hello Thomas,
I'm very sorry for how long this issue has been ongoing.

Any issue relating to meter readings when changing supplier usually takes up to 28 days, based on how long this has been ongoing your case has been passed to our "Case Resolution" team.
The Case Resolution team are essentially our complaints department, they will do everything that they can to fix this issue as soon as possible.

I have been with them 3 years, so it cant be anything to do with meter readings, or changing supplier!
Take it to the press NOW !
I'd have thought it was a simple matter to resolve.
Have the wrong readings been used for the latest usage? . Were the previous readings correct? If so send the correct ones so they produce a corrected bill.
The only issue could arise if the meter was replaced.
I can't see how else it could be wrong,
I see your bill contained this:

Previous balance £6,701.86
Payments received
£44.00
Previous balance
£6,657.86
Total charges this bill £74.95
Electricity £41.48
Gas £33.47
ACCOUNT BALANCE £6,732.81
Did your previous bills show those amounts due? If not I'm not sure why it wasn't picked up earlier.
If the previous bills didn't show such a figure owing then send them /refer them to the correct bills and ask for £5-10 a day compensation for worry due to their incompetence
You may find cancelling the DD isn't a good idea as they may put you on a higher rate and your credit rating may be affected

So did I FF, and have even sent photos of the readings as requested, and the meter is the same one.

Never had paper bills sent, always gave readings on-line when requested, but kept being told the gas reading was wrong.
It was only when they e-mailed me to say my D/D was going up approx £500 a month, that I contacted them.

## You may find cancelling the DD isn't a good idea ##

They did warn me about this FF, and they have instructed them to stop.

I forgot to say in my first post today, that I had an e-mail from them 2 weeks ago, welcoming me to their company, and asked for my first gas/elect readings :-)

The only thing about going to the media is, I wouldn't like my name and photo being published, it would be embarrassing.
trt, I too have posted about energy supplier trying to rip me of with DD bills. I *think* Ive eventually got mine sorted (npower was the company) but ended up cancelling my DD after only a couple of months when they more than doubled my payments without even a metre reading, it was a nightmare.
Just want to wish you luck getting it sorted.
