Medical records are on a national database, so any doctor can access them. For instance, if you are on holiday and need medical treatment, the doctor treating you can access you medical records to make sure he or she can give you the correct treatment, without having to ask you lots of questions.
although the stuff on the national database is limited. Each place you've ever been treated will have it's own records too
