How do I find out what the password is for out BT Wi-Fi?

I am trying to connect my new mobile to the home Wi-Fi hub but none of the numbers on the little card will work.

I have tried the Wireless key number and the Admin password but my phone says authentication problem for both these numbers.

Are you sure it's your wifi and not a neighbours? The password you want should be a combination of capital letters and numbers, about 10 characters long.

I know it's the right BT Hub, Zacs. It's on the little card at the back of the router.

The numbers (and letters) don't work though.

Thanks for the link, Mamya. I'll have a look.
Are you mistaking zeros for o for l fir I?
hc could be right. It took my ages to log in to our work wi-fi because I was mistaking Zero with the letter O
Case sensitive?

Yes but is your phone trying to connect to that router or a neighbours?

Thank you. I'll have another go.
You also have to press the wireless button on the hub as well - thats an extra security feature - your have a short time to enter the password on the device whilst the hubs wirless light is flashing.

The button that says Wireless WPS, Tuvok?
yes
Don't have to do that on ours.
Don't have to press any buttons on my hub to connect a wireless device to it. Had one once which used to connect automatically on pressing a button IIRC. Also recently connected BT's Smart Hub, again no button pressing.

I'm a bit hesitant about pressing a button in case I mess it up!
Just a thought Tilly, is the router lit up blue?
Question Author
Yes, Zac. The blue light is on. If it wasn't working I wouldn't be able to access AB.
Does your cabled PC work ok to it ? May be an idea to get the connections known to be working before adding wireless connections.
