Recently had my boiler serviced by British gas when the engineer checked the flume in the loft he told me that Worcester had changed how many brackets were needed to fix the flume .
It turns out there needs to be one bracket per metre were I need three I only have one .
The engineer told me this wouldn't stop me from using the boiler but he would have to stick a warning label on it . He all so said as it was just brackets to be fitted I didn't need to use British gas to fit them .
I'm a little sore about this because since 2004 when it was fitted the boiler has pasted every service but because Worcester have changed there fitting instructions and have told service engineers to place a warning on boilers I feel that Worcester should be putting the bill on this one . So does anyone have any information I may not know about .

Depending on your exact boiler type, brackets are readily available for below £20. Any competent boiler service person could fix them. Don't think you've a hope in hell of getting them free.

By the way, the word if flue. Not flume.
