My avatar stays inthe Answer Box while I'm typing. I'm not sure what happens if I type a reply that goes beyond my avatar.

Of you mean the "Your answer was posted successfully" that's there for about half a second ? I tune out even registering it.

If it's happening to you then other ABers have a similar situation. Unfortunately, I do not really understand what you mean.

I never experience a 'black box' issue.

Is your PC running at the limits of it's resources ? Does it do other things slowly ?
