Sound Has Gone On My Plasma Tv ... Any Ideas?

I have a Hyundai HTP 4250 plasma TV

Just today, the sound has just stopped - it was ok first thing for about 2 hours then it just went off ...

ive checked remotes that its not muted or turned down
i unplugged everything connected to it, and left it 10 mins, nothing
i tried to 'reset' it using instructions for another TV, did nothing

I have faffed about with leads and buttons etc at the back - nothing

ive plugged some other speakers in - nothing - but not sure if i put them in the right place - i put them where there was a yellow and red socket labeled L&R - is that right?
also put them in component - labelled L&R - nothing
turned the button for internal speakers on and off - nothing

there is a bit for plugging external speakers in - but its the sort that has no little adapter plugs on - you just kind of clip the wires into it.

I am waiting on trying out some speakers like that, but until then, anyone got any ideas what it could be??

it is definitely the TV, as it does it through the virgin box, and also the firestick.

there is no sound at all - whenever you click anthing on the firestick it makes a kind of swish noise or a click - there is nothing at all.

any ideas?? thanks

Jack Cable?
Audio will be red and white not yellow (back of TV)
Hmmm. have you tried going into the menu and having a look if the settings are ok. Does it have an audio out socket that yo can try external speaker on? If external speakers will not work and the audio set up looks correct, it may be the sound board.
Push any scart leads in very firmly

there is no headphone socket strangely

how can you do that on a TV fender? ive not seen anything the settings to do that - is there another way?
It sounds like you've been plugging speakers into phono sockets if the sockets you're using are colour-coded. These are for connecting to an amplifier, not directly to speakers, so you won't get any sound out of them. If the sound suddenly went off whilst you were watching the TV and not fiddling with anything, it looks like a problem with the TV electronics.

thanks all, i managed to put a speaker into the sockets and it works thrugh them so using that for now
