I have received a renewal for my Pet Insurance and was totally stunned at the cost for two eleven year old, indoor, neutered cats (brother and sister). It is £500 for a year. £40 odd a month.

Frankie has ongoing problems with his Asthma and is on daily medication but his sister is in great condition, which is good as she might still be banned for trying to take out a Vet and a Vet nurse when they tried to weigh her.

I have no intention of going to another company as this policy, with Tesco, suits me. But I just wanted to moan. I tried moaning to the cats but they just ignored me.

Better go - they want their lunch.

Frankie is probably allergic to cat hair, just like me :D

He probably is - allergic to his long haired sister - he is also terrified of her.

Awwww. Does the insurance pay for the asthma medication? How much would it cost you if it didn't?
And you would pay treble that amount for you're little angels :-)

Anne you are correct. They are worth it.
HC - Steroid inhaler was about £70 for a month. Vermilion are less than ten pound. His Prednisole is only a couple of pounds. The Aerokat nebulizer about a hundred.

The insurance covers to about four thousand so it should last.

Giving daily tablets to a cat is challenging.

My youngest cat had to have two courses of antibiotics when we first got her aged 6/7 weeks. She was great with them.

When OH brought her home the cat we already had just hissed at her. Now they are best friends. Very cute together.
I read somewhere that it's easier to give a tablet when you wrap it in cheese, which is great if your cat likes cheese.
Then I read somewhere else cheese isn't good for cats.
A suit of armour is required I reckon to get the tablets down the throat
I used to wrap them in ham, a prawn or red meat.
Thanks Ummm, noted for any future need :D x
The only time my older cat get aggressive is when there's raw red meat. He growls if the other cat goes near him.

The only human food he likes is Roast Beef from Tesco and Prawn crackers.

I use a variety of methods - Webbox lick stuff (meaty yoghurt), Tesco and Webbox meaty strips and have just bought something like blue tac. He spat the last one out this morning.

The methods all work sometime and fail other times.

He can be a picky eater and he is a bloody pest.
I think they are all pests. Mine jump in front of me as I'm coming down the stairs!
when we had the pooch and the moggy, they would take it in turns for one to race down stairs and the other one up, but only when I was going down. Determined little beggars aren't they?
They are potential murderers! :-D
ain't they?! and as for a quiet night when it's decided that they are going to race round the house in tackety boots :D x
Mine sleep on the wardrobe and wait for us to fall asleep before jumping off onto the bed.
I don't have cat Wolf but I had to give tablets to both Harvey and Maxie - what I did was crushed them into their favourite food and it worked.

The race track that they race around during the night includes my bed. They trample over me. My flat is on two floors and they run up and down the stairs during the night.

I fell asleep typing that. I need a cat nap.

Luckily mine have their mental hour in the mornings. Downside is they can open the doors so I'm forever getting up to shut them.
