Work Offline Red Cross

I have got Windows 10 with Windows Live Mail. In Live Mail, where the green globe is in the taskbar, it now says "Work offline" with a red cross against it. I have tried following the mostly outdated instructions for older operating systems to try to correct it, but they don't work. Right clicking on the red cross doesn't work. Trying to find Internet Explorer (whatever the latest version for Windows 10 is) doesn't work. Trying to download old IEs doesn't work. I use Firefox as my browser, and I've got Google as a backup. Is there a way of changing "Work offline" to "Work online"?

" it now says "Work offline" with a red cross against it."
That means you are working online
If you were working offline it would show a globe without the red cross, and say "Go Online".
Oh, I thought you were working from home for the Red Cross :-)

lol. I was too annoyed to double check how my question title reads, but I'm ok now that I know I'm still online for my e-mails.
Just for information (although you wisely use Firefox anyway): You won't find Internet Explorer in Windows 10. Microsoft have at last had the good sense to ditch it altogether, although it's debatable as to whether its replacement ('Edge') is actually any better!
