Dongle Not Working

I have bought a dongle from ebay, it has registered on my laptop fine, it says it is working fine, but why can i not access the internet? I have got a 3 dongle, with my own 3 broadband sim.

Normally when i get a dongle, soon as i plug it in, it loads up.

If you have a PAYG dongle you will need to top it up (like a mobile phone) in order to get onto the net. If you are on a contract with it make sure your contract details are correct. But I have a PAYG dongle and as soon as I plug it in it goes to the payment screen if it has no credit on it.

i am on a contract, it should connect.

Perhaps you don't have coverage/signal.

Remember internet signal is different from phone signal.
