9 years ago we purchased a reclining leather suite and I can remember that when it was delivered the back and seats came separately and the delivery men assembled them in the lounge but I didn't see them do it. Does anyone know how you dismantle them please?

As we have never seen your recliner and you dont say what make it is, I think it would be impossible to say.

I think the first thing to do would be to look at the underside at the fixings and try and work it out.
This may help.

Thanks Ratter15 this might help. The suite was bought from the now defunct Land of Leather
A chainsaw......

Many years ago, one of the engineers working in the family company, had an acrimonious bust-up with his the partner, the two of them squabbling about everything, even mugs, saucers, pans etc. He got so frustrated that wheh she started to argue about the sofa suite, he went outside, got the chainsaw, and chopped the sofa in two.
My leather settee comes apart. We can't get it in the room else. The arms come off and the seat is separate. Take off the covering underneath and you should see screws/bolts in the sides. The bolts on mine are quite well hidden even though they are underneath. These will probably go into the arms. Undo them and the arms should come off.
You need one of these.
