I've had some amazing advice from AB - mainly computer advice as I'm really a technophobe. I really appreciate the time and trouble folk take (plus the patience as I am not the sharpest knife n the box when it comes to technology) and I try to acknwledge everyone who replies to my OP. This means I keep coming back to my OP for ages just so that I don't ignore anyone. Is there any way a post can be 'closed/finished'?
Maybe I should have put this in Ed's blog but I thought more people would see it on c/b

Subscribe to your question and every time someone posts an answer you will get an email.

You can just put a message on saying. "Thank you. This query has been answered fully". Then just don't return to it. If someone does add anything then you need not know and need not feel obliged to acknowledge their answer

Factor has given you the perfect wording above.

It used to be common to see in newspapers the words, "This correspondence is now closed", or, "no further correspondence will be entered into".
