I rate Meyer, I've had some for 17 years and they are as good as new. They have excellent thick, multilayer bottoms for even heat distribution.

Not too expensive either.
Me too Eccles cake, I must have had mine nearer thirty years, got them at Debenhams on offer and they are as good as new, handles don't get hot either as some pans do. -rosy
Ikea stainless steel pots have steel handles too which makes them almost indestructable. Very well priced, I would strongly recommend.
