However it says that the seller is MobilePhoneDeals .

So , is my actual transaction with Play.com or MobilePhoneDeals ?

Play act as the go between but you will receive the product from MPD.

A bit like eBay and Amazon do. You go to their website but deal with an independent seller there.

So , is the payment taken directly from your bank account by MPD , or by Play and then transferred to MPD ?

You actual transaction is with MobilePhoneDeals on Play.com marketplace similar to buying on eBay.

MobilePhoneDeals sell through Play.com using PlayTrade (which is the equivalent of Amazon MarketPlace).
