'answer removed' on AB ?

Excuse a newbie question which has probably been done to death but trawling through the threads I've seen quiet a few 'answer removed' -is this removed by the poster? because I can't find a button to do it (if for example you answer something then realise you got the wrong end of the stick) or is is an editorial removal (which then explains how nice and civilized this forum seems to be)

When the AB editors logon in the morning and see this spam they then trawl round the site deleting it.
