Samsung TV remote control

Hi,
I'm having a dumb day. I'm trying to connect my Samsung tv to the internet, wirelessly, using the remote control to follow the on-screen instructions. After confirming the router, I'm then asked to enter the security code (a letters and figures combination) and I can't figure out how to switch the remote, which is on figures over to letters. Help!

Use the arrow keys to select the letters on the on-screen keyboard.
If you keep pressing the same button does it "wrap round" between numbers then upper case letters then lower case letters and back to numbers?

I had a similar problem with Sky a week or so back when I did not realise you could put in upper case AND lower case letters and it took me ages to connect my Sky box to my router.
