Tv colours funny

The screen on my TV hs now strange. I'm not sure of the right way to explain it, but while the top third has normal colours, those in the lower two thirds are faded. There seems to be a clear demarcation line.
Can anyone solve this mystery for me? Is the set on the blink, or could it be a transmission problem?
The TV is about 30 months old (bought from Amazon).

Is it like this on all channels?

Yes -it's really weird.

Does it have any sort of reset button or 'Auto' setting available. Sounds like something is broken.

I re-posted the question in Technology, and based on the advice I was given, I contacted Amazon Customer services. They have agreed that the TV is faulty. I am returning it today.
