hoover hose replacement

Hi all,

I need to replace the hose on my hoover upright, but don't know how to remove the old hose, it appears that there are two slots on the hose end housing.
any ideas??

Not being able to see it I would guess that here is something in the slots you may be able to shift with a screwdriver to unclip. But of course that could be miles out. Worth a look though.
